Russian Jets Makes Close Passes by USS Donald Cook –

There have been two incidents this past week of Russian aircraft flying extremely close to the USS Donald Cook, currently in the Baltic Sea. On April 11, two SU24 jets made 20 passes, flying within 1,000 yards at an altitude of 100 feet. The second incident on April 12 included two KA27 Helix helicopters circling the ship. US Military officials are describing it as a “simulated attack profile.” Col. Steve Warren called the action “provocative and unprofessional.”
